Jawab was imposed upon Iqbal so it didnt come from the heart it was to shut mullahs mouth. Someone commented read this poem with jawab shikwa, no, Iqbal was forced to write jawab shikwa by mullahs who were not happy with his poems daring tone against God. I accept though that translation of poetry can never capture the original meaning, beuty of language and rythem which is all poetry is about. With due respect, the translation given is absolutely horrible and completely ignores the meanings of the words used losing the charm and beuty of the language used by the poet and in many places it gives the impression that translater didnt understand the true meaning. It does however gives a rytham to the lyrics. However the main problem with likes of Iqbal and Faiz is extensive use of Farsi words and even whole stanzas are in pure Farsi which a common man in subcontinent doesnt understand. This is a very daring poem of Iqbal which put him in a lot of trouble with mullas when published. I HOPE THE PAIN WHICH IS EXPRESSED WILL BE SEEN WITH REALITY AND SHALL BE AN INTIATIVE TO START ABSOLUTE PRACTICE THANKS TO ALL READERS HE SERVED OUR NATION BY WRITING HIS DEEP HEARTED FEELINGS WHICH AROUSED IN THE LIGHT OF COMMANDS OF HOLLY QURAANE MUBARAK, WE SHALL ALWAYS TAKE THIS INITIATIVE OF TEACHING THE THOUGHTS AND POETRIES OF ALLAMA IQBAL IN OUR SCHOOL SYLLABUS AND THE TIME HAS ARRIVED TO DISCUSS THE ATMOSPHERE SPREADING IN OUR SURROUNDINGS AGAINST ISLAMIC TEACHINGS AND CRITERIA, IF WE DONT CONSIDER AND PRACTICE THE LENIENCE OF USUAL ROUTINE, THEN WE CANNOT SURVIVE AS MUSLIM AND FOLLOWER OF ISLAM, EVEN NOW THE TIME IS THERE TO SPREAD THE MISSION OF HOLY QURAAN AND GIVE A LOOK ON PRESENT CULTURE OF OUR MUSLIMS, THEIR DRESS WALKS OF LIFE, AWAY FROM RELIGION AND NEARER TO EVERY SIN, DIS RESPECTING AND DISHONORING THE ELDERS, CARELESS WITH ILL AND OLD UN KIND ON INNOCENT IS THIS THE RIGHT PATH OF PRACTICE OF A MUSLIM IF NOTHING IS THERE, THEN IT IS OBVIOUS THAT WE ARE DEFAMING OUR ANCESTORS AND REAL FOLLOWERS OF HOLY RELIGION, ASSALAMU ALAIKUM I AGREE WITH ALL ABOVE COMMENTS WHO APPRECIATED FOR THE SERVICES MADE BY ALLAM IQBAL R.A.
